The first production in the Lyceum Building was presented in 1928. The theatre was relocated to the lower ground floor of the Building and opened with its first production in 1938.
In total 316 productions have been presented from 1928 to the present day.
'Whose Life Is It Anyway?' will be production number 317 !
Season 2007 - 2008 saw the celebration of 70 years of productions in the lower ground floor theatre and 80 years since the compnay was formed.

About Us
The Lyceum Theatre is the home of the Lyceum Players.
The theatre is situated in the lower ground floor of the Lyceum Building, Union Street, Oldham.
A varied programme of five main productions are presented each season in this intimate theatre space.

A large and comfortable bar and coffee lounge is the perfect place to enjoy refreshments before, during the interval and after the performance.
The bar lounge also incorporates a gallery space which is used to exhibit local artists' work at each of our plays. Please contact us for details.
